I established a Partner Practice with St. James’s Place in December 2013. My office and team are based in Broadstone, Dorset. With over a decade of experience in the Financial Services profession, I specialise in a personal approach to financial planning. By understanding your individual goals I will develop a Wealth Management strategy to meet your financial objectives.

Jason Deverill BSc (Hons), DipPFS, Cert CII (MP), Financial Planner

Jason joined Symes Wealth Management in October 2016. He works closely with clients and prospective clients to develop bespoke wealth management strategies, covering all aspects of financial planning. Jason is working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.

Peter Jones, Financial Planner

Based in Poole, Dorset, Peter provides bespoke holistic wealth management advice to individuals. Peter travels to all parts of the UK for his clients.

Peter has been involved with many individuals and corporate clients since 1986 the largest of which was easyJet PLC where the relationship started in 1996. As a consequence, he has established many working relationships with individuals and large proportion of them are within the aviation sector due, in part, to the insight and understanding that he has for their specific financial requirements.

Peter is passionate about the service he provides to his clients get the right outcomes and that their financial arrangements are not left to chance. Peter is committed to ensuring that his industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on his personal development, This, along with the pride and dedication that he has in place on developing solid personal relationships with his clients, ensures that he is able offer a rounded, professional and principled service.

Outside of my business, Peter is a very keen golfer and enjoying watching rugby and other sports.

Oliver Batt, Financial Planner

I have joined Symes Wealth Management following an intense 6 months on the St. James’s Place Academy based in London. My emphasis is on building a long-term relationship with clients, putting them at the centre of the work I do and providing them with advice which is Personal, Trusted and Clear.


Lynsey Phillips, PA to Scott Symes and Peter Jones & Practice Manager

Lynsey is Symes Wealth Management Ltd’s longest serving employee and as well as providing PA support to Scott and Peter, is responsible for managing the Practice and organising all of our Marketing and Client Events.

Technical Consultants

Michelle Clement, Paraplanner

With 25 years as a Financial Adviser, Michelle decided upon a slight career change and joined Symes Wealth Management Ltd in April 2019 as a Paraplanner. She will be supporting all Practice Advisers to compile in-depth financial reports. Michelle’s hours of work are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am to 5pm.

May Tyler DipPFS, Paraplanner

We work closely with May Tyler who is a Diploma qualified Paraplanner and has over 25 years’ experience within financial services. May assists Scott with analysing client’s existing plans and completing financial reports with recommendations to meet their objectives. In her spare time, May enjoys walking and exploring the beautiful Dorset coastline and listening to live music.

Support Staff

Tracy Virrill, Administrative Assistant

Tracy joined Symes Wealth Management in June 2018 and is responsible for the day to day admin tasks associated with running a busy office. Tracy looks to provide a key first point of contact for any queries or questions from Clients of Symes Wealth Management. Tracy’s working hours are Wednesday to Friday, 9.15am to 2.45pm.

Sheena Symes, Director, Accounts and Office Support

Sheena is my wife and has helped me develop Symes Wealth Management. Sheena is also responsible for looking after our three children, Finley, Florence and Bonnie.

Amanda Robertson of Dorset HR Support Ltd

We consult with Amanda Robertson who is Director and Founder of Dorset HR Support Ltd. Amanda has over 20 years’ experience in employment law and HR and has advised and supported over 250 small and medium sized businesses. In her spare time, Amanda loves running, socialising with friends and family and going to the Theatre.
